Why Real Estate Appraisal?
Real Estate Appraisal is an honored profession that has moved into a level of respect synonymous with other life-long professions. The modern Real Estate Appraiser must adhere to federal and state legislation as well as the code of ethics set forth by private appraisal organizations.

The evolution of the appraisal field from its beginning, less than one hundred years ago, has grown from a blue collar worker into a white collar profession. The professional appraiser is now a much sought after qualified individual.

The appraiser of yesterday was one who had a basic familiarity with real estate transactions in a local area, rendering conclusions on a specific property based on that knowledge. Today the appraiser is a qualified professional who is held accountable for his/her knowledge in the field of observation, mathematical approaches to principles of real estate and a reconciliation of the investments made by residential and commercial investors.

Who Uses the Real Estate Appraiser?
Real Estate is the largest industry in the United States. The major asset of most individuals is in real estate. This economic fact creates a demand for those individuals who can competently interpret market information into a value opinion. Today appraisals are needed for a wide variety of reasons, including:

  • Tax Appeals
  • Financing
